By using SafeScribe you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Who the app is for
SafeScribe is intended for adults aged 18 or over.
What SafeScribe does
SafeScribe converts speech in your recordings into text, entirely on your device. It is a tool, not a professional transcription service. Automatic speech recognition makes mistakes — accuracy varies with audio quality, accent, background noise and subject matter.
Check the output before relying on it. Do not use SafeScribe as the sole record for medical, legal, financial or other consequential decisions without reviewing the transcript against the audio yourself.
Free version and SafeScribe Pro
The free version transcribes up to 10 minutes per file. Every feature is available in the free version; only the per-file length limit differs.
SafeScribe Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the per-file limit. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
Before you buy, two things you should know:
Your purchase is tied to your store account. It does not transfer between the App Store and Google Play.
If you reinstall the app or set up a new device using the same store account, use Restore purchases to unlock Pro again at no additional cost.
Refunds are handled by the store you purchased from, under that store’s policy. We cannot issue refunds on Apple’s behalf.
The model download
SafeScribe needs a one-time download of its speech recognition model (about 874 MB) before it can transcribe. This download requires an internet connection and may incur charges on a mobile data plan.
Your content
Your recordings and transcripts are yours. They stay on your device; we never receive them and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for having the right to record and transcribe the audio you use, including obtaining consent where the law requires it.
Availability and changes
We may update the app, and features may change or be removed over time. SafeScribe is not offered in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
Warranty and liability
SafeScribe is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded or limited — including liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The purpose of the notices in these terms is to tell you plainly what the app does and does not do, so that you can decide before you buy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
